Work to Provide Full-Fibre Broadband to Properties in the Village

Gigaclear are contracted to work on Broadband Delivery UK, the Government scheme to improve broadband provision. There is a rolling programme in the village, but the initial areas to be connected will be identified properties in Convent Lane/Cow Lane/ St. Mary’s Hill and Park Lane. Find more information here.

Possible Scam

Please be wary if you receive an email/letter from a website called Nextdoor.    The networking company has used the name of another resident to promote this network without her knowledge and a number of residents in the village have been in receipt of a letter encouraging them to sign up.

Grants Available

If you are part of an organisation looking for funds for a project to benefit the residents of Woodchester, the Parish Council have made a small sum of money available for this purpose.
An application form along with information on eligibility and conditions are available from the clerk (woodchesterparish@gmail.com) or from here.
Applications will only be considered once a year and the closing date for these applications is the 31st May.

Severn Trent Information Event for Residents

Severn Trent will be hosting a drop-in session for residents in the Village Hall on 28th February from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Plans will be available for the closure of Selsley Road and residents will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the planned works.
