On Friday 1 July 2016, Woodchester will remember the start of the Battle of the Somme. Anyone interested in joining us for a few minutes is requested to arrive at the War Memorial (between North and South Woodchester) at 7:15 am. A whistle will be blown at 7:30 am to be followed by two minutes silence. More information here.
