There are no chimes from St. Mary’s Church clock at present because there has been a breakdown in the clock’s winding machinery (through wear and tear) and it will need expert help to decide how to mend and make secure for the future. The Church ask local residents to be patient whilst they do this, and get the necessary repair carried out, which is likely to be a slow process because of the holiday season.
