Woodchester Football Club

Woodchester F.C. is a small and friendly community football club (with sports charity status – CASC), currently fielding one adult team in Division 8 of the Stroud and District Football League.  Our pitch is just down from the Post Office on Selsley Road and playing at this level means we can accommodate a wide range of abilities and ages, from the minimum permitted age of sixteen years to our oldest about to turn fifty – everyone is welcome!! (Selsley Road can get very busy when there is a game or training going on, please always park responsibility with local residents in mind)

League matches take place every Saturday from late August to early April, with a few midweek games along the way.  Pre-season training takes place at our ground through June to August (usually on Wednesdays), with weekly training then switching to alternative facilities through the winter when possible. We also arrange a few pre-season friendlies which allows any new players to acclimatise.

We continue to look for opportunities to attract funding and sponsors to develop our modest facilities, especially as a significant proportion of club funds have had to be utilised in recent years to deal with pitch maintenance and the upkeep of the small clubhouse.  We remain ever grateful to our local sponsors and supporters and would love to discuss further sponsorship opportunities with local businesses if you are interested

Potential players, sponsors or anyone else looking to get involved with their longstanding local football club (we were founded in 1905), please contact the Chairman – Stuart Harrison
