Councillors voted on Wednesday evening to proceed with plans for mountain bike trails in Woodchester.
The site for the project is adjacent to the existing cycle path just north of Selsley Road.
The trails will be completed by Trailcraft, an experienced company from South Wales and will include two tracks, a ‘green grade’ for children from age four and a ‘blue grade’ track for slightly older riders.
Work is expected to begin around the 28th February and the tracks will take around three weeks to complete.
Councillors agreed to pay a shortfall in funding from Parish Council reserves in order that there are no more delays. It’s hoped that fundraising will take place to replenish the reserves during the year. Any ideas gratefully received!
